Small Internet company Power.com has filed a lawsuit against social networking juggernaut Facebook, claiming it does not give its users control over their content, and this is in direct violation of Facebook’s own policy.

Jail for cyber criminals: NSW govt | Australian IT
CYBER criminals who use Facebook to get personal information about their potential victims will face up to five years in jail.
Under proposed laws targeting the use of social networking sites for identity theft, police for the first time will be able to arrest and charge online fraudsters for improperly accessing or using information without having to wait for them to steal money.

The Associated Press: Young workers push employers for wider Web access
CHICAGO (AP) — Ryan Tracy thought he’d entered the Dark Ages when he graduated college and arrived in the working world.
His employer blocked access to Facebook, Gmail and other popular Internet sites. He had no wireless access for his laptop and often ran to a nearby cafe on work time so he could use its Wi-Fi connection to send large files.
